Halcyon recruits for individuality and flair. We have an eclectic bunch of professional hairdressers that appeal to a wide range of discerning and fashion-savvy clientele of all ages.
A tiered pricing structure reflects the relevant experience and expertise of our team.
Levels are: Director, Advanced Stylist, Principal Stylist and Emerging Stylist.
Our Directors bring hairdressing expertise and years of experience to Halcyon. Having worked in world-class salons in Sydney and London they are excellent mentors for our team. A strong UK influence of hairdressing exists in their work and is reflected within their training.
Advanced Stylists with many years of experience, have perfected hairdressing and have developed a truly individual style of their own. They are creative and incredibly talented.
Principal Stylists have perfected the art of cut, colour and styling, and their skills are constantly evolving. You will find them to be creative, enthusiastic and eager to deliver fantastic results.
Our Emerging Stylists are trained in all aspects of hairdressing. You will find their work exceptional for their years of experience, due to our strong focus on training.

ALANA – Our Director
Having established Halcyon 15 years ago, Alana attracts a loyal and discerning client base to her Battery Point salon. Having worked interstate and overseas she has gained valuable knowledge and ideas over the years to implement into our day-to-day life at Halcyon. Still loving to Cut and Style, Alana stays ahead of the game by continuing her role as Intercoiffure Fashion Director for Tasmania. She continually attends industry events to remain current.

DAVID – Advanced Stylist
Dave’s clientele are loyal and appreciate his stylish cuts and beautiful colour technique, keeping them coming back time and again. Calling on a previous life in frontline hospitality, you can expect impeccable service and great conversation – aswell as exceptional hairdressing. With attention to detail he has a way of making your hair look & feel expensive, Dave is in high demand – so book well in advance.

ANNA – Advanced Stylist
Anna is fashion-savvy and with her amazing creative talent and friendly nature she attracts a wide range of fans at Halcyon. Having a talent for creating statement looks for the individual her creative colour and hair cut techniques stand out among a crowd.
Beautiful seamless Ballyage is a specialty….
Anna also has a particular talent for styling hair and her beautiful braids prevail.

ARABELLA – Emerging Stylist
Arabella will take care of your every need during your visit – expect a great massage and excellent hospitality.
While still an apprentice, Arabella is hard at work behind the scenes learning the art of hairdressing.

JESS – Advanced Stylist
With years of experience under her belt, Jess brings knowledge and great skills to our team. Jess is friendly and listens carefully to create that total look that will suit you the individual. Her foiling techniques are technically accurate, methodical and precise. Jess is the choice for keratin treatments or permanent straightening – she loves the amazing results. Some waves perhaps… she does a mean perm!
Jess has a love for long hair-styling and excels at Wedding hair!

FAY – Advanced Stylist
Enjoying a sea change from bustling Melbourne and London salons, Fay has quickly formed a strong following of local admirers.
